World-renowned UFC light heavyweight champion Alex Pereira hosted a surprise fan meeting at the WINNERZ Sports Center in Gangnam-gu, Seoul, on Nov. 24.
Organized at Pereira’s request before his departure, the event was his way of expressing gratitude to Korean fans for their passionate support.
During the meeting, Pereira interacted warmly with fans, taking photos and engaging in conversations. He remarked:
“The passionate support of Korean fans has always motivated me greatly.”
Fans and MMA enthusiasts in attendance had a rare opportunity to connect with the champion in an intimate setting, highlighting Pereira’s appreciation for his growing fanbase in Korea.
WINNERZ Sports Center as a Martial Arts Hub
The event took place at the WINNERZ Sports Center, a facility operated by the sports platform WINNERZ, which is gaining recognition as a hub for mixed martial arts, wrestling, and personal training in Korea.
WINNERZ has been actively contributing to the development and globalization of the Korean martial arts scene, notably through its WINNERZ Fighting Championship (WFC).
It has also collaborated with international figures, including boxing legend Manny Pacquiao, to promote martial arts and nurture local talent.
A WINNERZ official highlighted the significance of the Pereira fan meeting:

WINNERZ revealed its plans to establish its WFC league as a global platform and actively support Korean athletes in advancing to the international stage. The official added:
“WINNERZ is trying to establish itself as an innovative platform not only in martial arts but also in sports as a whole. We plan to develop our own MMA league, WFC, into a global league and actively support Korean players to advance to the world stage.”
